What I love about Fall, and particularly November, is that it gives us a season to reflect and reminds us to have a thankful heart. Although this should certainly always be our state, life happens…and our heart and our intentions often get lost in the day to day grind. Then November comes around and Thanksgiving nears, and we are presently aware again of all that we have to be thankful for. It’s almost like a jump start on a dead battery. If your battery needs a jump start, I encourage you to spend some time with the Lord and examine your heart.
“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful” Col 3:15.
“I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I will praise You among many people” Psalm 35:18
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name” Psalm 100:4
These are some wonderful images I found on Pinterest, that inspired me to prepare my heart for thanksgiving. I particularly love the last image.
