Leah Behr: Cinco de Mayo Inspired

Cinco de Mayo Inspired

It's Cinco de Mayo people! For those of you who don't know, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico's independence day. (Say whaaaa?!) The Holiday is actually in celebration of the 1962 Battle of Puebla, where Mexico defeated France. And, before I go off on too much of a history tangent, I'll just end by saying I'm thankful we cross the border to get tacos and tequila instead of croissants. (Although, I do love me some croissants.)

When it comes to Cinco de Mayo attire, channel your inner Latina by reaching for embroidered pieces. Necklaces and bracelets with tassels add even more fun and are one of Summer's hottest trends. Lastly, it never hurts to accessorize with a refreshing beverage, so check out my perfect margarita recipe to finish off the look.
