We recently discussed options for how to dress as the guest at a Summer day-time wedding, so of course we’ve got to cover ground for those nuptials that run into the evening.
– Aim for structured pieces. Chiffon and silk are fine for day time, but I prefer something with a bit more body going into the evening.
– Pay attention to the dress code. Sometimes you can get a good indication of the style of the wedding through the invitation. If not, just ask.
– Don’t show too much skin. For evening affairs, stick to pieces that are either floor length or no higher than the knee. When in doubt, stick to knee length, as it can lend itself to formal and semi-formal occasions.
