I’ve had my eye on flares for a while now, but was reluctant to take the plunge. Verdict: I’m so glad I did!
I forgot how flattering flares can be. The in-and-out shape balances out your legs, so you’re not all top heavy – if you know what I mean. These flares in particular have a high waist, and let me just tell you…I know what I’m wearing on turkey day. #justsayin
Can we talk about this poncho though? Ponchos can be tricky – they can often be big and bulky (aka unflattering) and some women feel intimidated about styling them. If you’re new to the poncho game, I recommend test driving a lightweight style, like this, so you can get comfortable with learning how to style them. Ponchos are such a great transitional piece, because they can easily be thrown on and off when the weather goes from cold-to-hot, as it tends to do in fall. More importantly, they add a special touch to an otherwise blank canvas.
