Continuing on with embracing warm fall days, I took this top for a test drive last weekend. I have been feeling a little under the weather lately, so took the weekend off from all of the Hallow’s eve celebrations. The orange and black in this outfit helped make me feel like I was still somehow getting in the holiday spirit. A stretch, I know, but a chic one.
I truly can’t get over this top, guys. It’s from Bailey44 which is a woman’s contemporary clothing line out of LA, and everything they make is agelessly sexy and effortlessly cool. This top, in particular, takes an edgy spin on a classic look. It is definitely a piece that will stand the test of time (and ever changing fashion trends). Not to mention, the quality is incredible! The top is constructed from Italian tweed, with navy, orange and white threads. (You had me at Italian Tweed!) I especially love the shoulder line, which is accented with leather panels on the front and back. This is THE outfit to take from work to play.
Speaking of work, what’s your take on OTK boots in the work place? I say it depends on the work place. If you work in a corporate environment where dress pants are expected, I would say that OTK boots will probably not fly. If you feel comfortable wearing leggings, ponte pants, or even jeans in to work, then OTK are probably acceptable, too. Just be mindful of the type of OTK boot you are wearing. Aim for chic styles, and steer clear of “hooker” boots, if you know what I mean.
Happy Friday to all my eat-pray-wear-lovebirds. Enjoy your weekend!
