I don’t know who the first person was to decide to wear sweatpants outside of the home, but I would personally like to send them a “thank you” note. I mean, jammies I can pass off in public. I’m in.
I’ve had my eye out for a leather jacket for the past couple of months, but have ben reluctant to take the plunge. I’m super picky when it comes to certain pieces, and especially when it comes to leather, or faux-leather, in this case. It has to meet two criteria: 1. looks expensive 2. is actually cheap. (You’ll find that is my criteria for most things in life.) And, it looks like I finally found one that fits the bill.

When it comes to rocking the athleisure trend, I have a few tips:
2. You can’t go wrong with white sneakers. These 90’s style shoes made a big come back this year, a la Adidas, but I snagged these similar ones from ASOS for only $24. (They carry Adidas, too, if you’d rather have those.)
3. Invest in a pair of fitted joggers. Pants that double as pajamas. Need I say more?
4. Know your crowd. As cool as this trend is, it’s not appropriate for every environment. While you can still borrow elements of this trend for certain events (mixing a long flowy maxi with sneakers, for example), it doesn’t work universally.
My entire look can be found at ASOS (linked below). I’ve been a fan of ASOS for a while now. I can always count on them for unique, cutting edge pieces, that don’t break the bank. Since I do 90% of my shopping online, I try to look for places that either have free shipping or, at a minimum, free returns. ASOS has free returns, and I am usually in between sizes, so I sometimes order two to try on and can return the other without having to be out the cost of shipping. This is HUGE for me.
Well, that’s it for today folks. Here’s to a great Monday!
