Back from NYFW and after all the good NYC eats (and drinks!), and a full day of airport travel, my face feels anything but fresh. I spent all last night doing damage control with one of my favorite brands. And, lucky for me, the brand that keeps my face fresh, has a fresh face themselves. Meet the new Glo Skin Beauty.
You may recall me talking about Glo Minerals – I’ve talked about them a lot around here. As a blogger, I get asked to test a ton of beauty products, and I share the ones I love with you, on here. But the one I keep coming back to, time and time again, is Glo Skin Beauty. They carry a full range of products, offering personalized skincare solutions, covering me with everything from my cleanser to my lipstick.
Ever since I hit 30, I’ve been on an anti-aging mission, and my skin regimen is of utmost importance in my daily routine. I have combination skin, so it’s important to me to find products that bring balance to my skin. Don’t get me wrong, having an oily forehead is awesome for fighting wrinkles, but my face tends to be dry everywhere else, so I need products that work together to tackle all of my skin concerns.
It’s really important to start with a cleanser that removes old makeup and dead skin, in order to start with a smooth surface. Bonus: a cleanser that brightens your skin! I’m currently working on removing years of California girl sun damage on my face, with this Brightening Serum by Glo. But, unless you start with a good cleanser, layering on creams and serums will do nothing. That’s why I love this Glycolic Resurfacing Cleanser. I personally use this product about 3 times a week, because it is pretty aggressive. For morning and night maintenance, I stick to this Daily Polishing Cleanser.
After cleansing, it’s important to immediately restore the pH in your skin, so I spritz this Phyto-Active Toning Mist on my face, then finish with the Phyto-Active Light Moisture. My evening routine is a little more aggressive/moisturizing, but these two products work perfectly for daytime use, priming my face for makeup.
Speaking of makeup, I use so many different shadows and lippies over the days, but I almost always start with the same base products. As I mentioned, I’m diligent about protecting (and reversing) my skin from sun damage, so it’s important to me to have a product with SPF. This Luminous Liquid Foundation not only has SPF 18, but the light diffusing diamond powder gives the most luminous appearance. I also have the WORST under eye circles, so it’s super important to me to use concealers that not only concealer, but also brighten and highlight. I start with this Oil Free Camouflage (in Natural), and let it set, before highlighting with this Liquid Bright Concealer (in High Beam). Then I blend it all in with a sponge. Like most Glo products, they work really well together!
I’ll doing some more posts with Glo Skin Beauty in the coming months, so if there are any particular products you have questions on or anything you want to see, please let me know! I’m also hosting a giveaway over on my Instagram here. I’m giving away FIVE $150 gift cards!! Go enter!
