Well, I finally took the plunge and jumped on the Levi’s train. And I honestly don’t know why I took so long. They are the most structured jeans I have ever owned. You can really see why Levi’s is a brand that stands the test of time. These particular Levi’s could technically be considered a “mom” jean – but for the mom that has a really nice butt and wants to show it off. 😉
Still, when it comes to Levi 501s, I stick to a few simple tricks to make sure they look more chic than they do mommy.

Here’s my rules on how to style Levi 501s.
1. Tuck – The key with Levi 501s is to accentuate the waist line. They have a high waist fit that looks best when shown off. If I have a tailored shirt (like the one here) I will tuck the whole piece in. If I am wearing a tee or a sweater, then I will just tuck in the front part of the top near the buttons.
2. Great Creative – I love how you can dress these Levi 501s jeans up or down – even when it comes to the footwear you pair it with. When pairing with boots, I prefer to roll them hem of the jeans, like I did here. I’ve also seen other girls completely cut off the hem, so they can wear them with taller ankle booties. Both are great options!
Now, when it comes to fit, I would definitely say these Levi 501s fit TTS (true to size), despite what these reviews will tell you. I normally wear a size 27 in jeans, and that’s what I am wearing in these Levis.
Did you find today’s Levi 501s post useful? Do you have Levis or do you plan on getting some anytime soon? I got these from Shopbop, but there are so many retailers that carry a wide variety. You can even find some super great vintage options here on Etsy.
