During my Nordstrom fiasco Thursday night, I was able to peruse the shoe section, heavily. I’m so thankful I got to see some of these in person, because some were definitely on my list, that did not make the cut. TBH, I didn’t end up buying any shoes from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, this year. I’m pretty set on good boots, and the only boots I had my eye on (that were a color I wanted to add to my closet) ended up being a total bust. (more on that later)
NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE – BEST SHOES
Vince Flats – I probably would have got these Vince flats, but I couldn’t justify it with everything else I bought. Plus, I already have a pair of black flats in my closet. These are super chic though, and just as amazing in person, as they look online. If you are needing to add a staple black flat to your closet, this is it. (Comes in other colors, too.)
Vince Mules – I missed out on the Vince mule craze a couple years back, and I swore I would take the plunge this time. Unfortunately, I don’t think the quality of these is what I expected from Vince. The part over the bridge of my foot, just looked flimsy, and I honestly thought they were too tall.
Adidas Sneakers – These Adidas sneakers are perfect, guys. I don’t need to any more sneakers to my wardrobe at the moment, but if you do, I highly suggest these. They would top off any athleisure look, perfectly! They come in black and nude and are on sale for under $70 – which is great for this brand.
Pointed Toe Mule – Another splurge piece, but totally worth it if you wear mules often. I always consider the pay-per-wear, so if you think you’ll wear these alot.. go for it!
White Mule – If you’re into the look above, but not the price tag. Go for these. 😉
Madewell Mule – (In case you can’t tell I have a thing for mules. Totally planned on adding these to my wardrobe but they quickly sold out. Bookmark them in case they come back in stock, because were a great deal for a super reliable brand.
Leith White Heel – Super into these chunky heels, and you can’t beat the price at only $49. They come in black, too.
Classic Pump – Every closet needs a classic pump, and these won me over, this sale. They have a chunky heel which me and my feet are super into, right now. They 5 colors and are under $60.
Slingback Platform Clog – I had my eye on these, and they were just as cute in person. If you are looking for a new clog, I would go for these. They come in black and a rosey tan.
Ted Baker Sandal – These are a great wear-now piece, that’s in the sale. If you need a statement sandal, this is a solid brand and a great deal.
Red Sock Bootie – This brand is killing the sale this year guys, and these red booties are no exception. Considering adding these to my closet, for sure. And, if you want a sock bootie, but are turned off by the bold red, they come in black too.
As for booties….everyone is going to tell you to buy all things Vince Camuto, but I’m not here for it, this year. I think their booties are just ok, this season, and their tall boots fit poorly when I tried them on last year. Instead, try one of these options below.
Blondo Bootie – these looked structured and legit. They come in 5 colors and are $50 off, and look like they would hold up through fall/winter.
Steve Madden Side Split Bootie – I’m here for these guys. The quality looks good, and they come in a perfect tan shade, for fall. If you need a good transitional bootie, I suggest these.
Sam Edelman Bootie – They never disappoint, and are always one of my favorites from the sale. These also come in a few dreamy fall shades and are a steal at $70 off!
Steve Madden OTK Boots – These are the only OTK’s making my cut from the sale, because they are a steal at under $90 and a few friends swear by them.
BP Bootie – *Warning* These disappointed and ended up being so cheap and flimsy in person. I envisioned them being structured when the tops were standing up, but when I saw them in person, it seemed you had to roll them down (like pictured) otherwise the tops were flimsy AF. Save your money!
Leopard Bootie – These are the only shoe I left home with, from the sale. I have been wanting a leopard bootie for a while, and these fit the bill, and are on a great sale. I haven’t tried them on, but sized a 1/2 size up, based on size guides.
That’s it folks! I honestly wasn’t too impressed with the shoe selection from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year. If you see anything that catches your eye, let me know!
