Over the weekend I got a request to share my must have hats for summer 2019. I LOVE when you guys send me ideas for posts, and I am SO excited to share this one. My creativity has been completely drained from dealing with the house for 6+ months, so it’s nice when I get requests for ideas. I even finished hanging my hat wall over the weekend, so it was perfect timing.
The hat wall was just a piece of what we got done though. Brandon and I were finally able to get some organizing done around the house, this weekend, and it felt so good! We still have SO much to do, but it felt like we got a lot accomplished, which was a huge step in the right direction. Even though we’ve been living here for over 3 weeks now, we have been so focused on getting the old house ready for AirBNB that we haven’t really had any time to focus our energy here. But, now that we are finally done with that project, we can start focusing our energies back here.
Not gonna lie guy, I totally teared up when I finished this wall. It’s no surprise that all the blood, sweat and tears went into this project, so to get to see the final product of our vision is so moving and forever satisfying. I have dreamed for so long of having a beautiful space to shoot content in and as I continue to put things together, like this hat wall, I am constantly reminded that this house is all that and more. It is the best feeling.
But I digress…back to the hats.
You girls know hats are my thing. I love them! Honestly, they can take any plain look and give it the chicest touch. Not to mention, they come in super handy when you haven’t washed your hair in 5 days. Of course, none of us do that though, right? 😉 When we were moving, I actually got rid of a bunch of my hats and narrowed my collection down to the musts only. I’ll start building my fall/winter collection back up as we head into those months, but for now, here are my must have hats for summer 2019. I linked to options in all price points, and either the exact hat pictured or a super similar style.
Must Have Hats for Summer 2019
The Ivory Rancher – Lack of Color has quickly become my favorite hat brands, this year. They are a little bit of a splurge, but I find hats to be a splurge-worthy investment, as you’ll definitely get your money’s worth via the pay-per-wear. Unfortunately, this super popular Ivory Rancher is sold out (keep your eyes peeled for a restock) but I found a super similar version here for under $50. This style is a must-have spring hat. FYI Princess Polly often restocks this hat, just be sure to access their Australian site because for some reason they don’t show it on the US site. I also linked some other cute felt hats that work well for spring/summer.
Fray Straw Hat – Another great hat from Lack of Color (at a better price than the Ivory Rancher) is the Straw Fray Boater. I’ve always loved a good boater hat, but love this straw fray boater. It’s got a more relaxed vibe, perfect for beach days. Exact hat is available here (I bought a medium). Similar options are below.
Black Straw Fedora – I recently added this look to my closet and am so glad I did. A black straw fedora adds a chic touch to your summer vibe – especially if you wear a lot of whites/blacks in the summertime. A couple of cute options are linked below.
Panama Hat – If you’re new to the hat world and want to dip your toes in the water, you just can’t go wrong with a Panama hat. It’s the godfather of all hats, and a must in every closet.
Classic Boater Hat – This is another style I would consider to be in my top 2 musts in your hat collection. It literally goes with everything and is a hit on the beach and city, alike. My hat is super old, but this one is almost identical to it.
