Ahh…it’s that time of year again. The sale that forces us to open a credit card to make sure we don’t miss out on all the crap everyone is buying. That’s right…the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I’m taking a different approach this year, and sharing the TRUTH about the N Sale here.
Guys…you don’t NEED to shop this sale if you don’t want to. If you can’t afford it, or don’t need it…it’s totally fine! Life goes on. And if you’re having FOMO or feeling “less than” because every other girl you follow IS shopping the N Sale in excess, guess what? I promise you that they are shooting the outfits and returning 90% of what they buy. There I said it. Also, you don’t need the white striped tee in every color. Been there, done that…I have all the tees, thanks.
Listen, I’m not trying to throw shade at every other blogger that’s pushing the N Sale on you so that they can make money, but honestly…the excess of it has gotten sickening. It honestly infuriates me when I see a girl pushing items that I know are garbage, just because she knows she can make it look cute for a photo and make a sale. I mean…it’s SO smart from a business perspective (get that money, honey), but what pisses me off about it is that YOU, the follower, trust them and they are just letting you down. I won’t do it.
That being said, if you are able to shop the sale, it honestly is a great time to stock up on pieces for fall. It’s the only sale I know of that discounts NEXT season’s items. It’s honestly hard for me to even wrap my head around buying anything for fall, since we have had the most dreary fall-like summer ever. BUT, I also know that I can get a lot of good pieces for fall at a great deal now, so…I’m jumping on the N Sale bandwagon. If you want to join me, I have linked my top picks here. I haven’t personally seen these items, so I cannot attest to the quality, but they seem to check out (from what I can see). The great news is that Nordstrom has an amazing FREE returns policy and sends out a free return label in every package, so if you don’t like what you get, returning is hassle free!
(As a reminder, the sale is only open to cardholders starting 7/12 at 12pm EST, and it opens to the general public 7/19.)
Here are the only items worth mentioning at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
Leith Tan Blazer – This is making the list because I have an oversized tan blazer and LOVE it and have been trying to link one for you girls forever and haven’t found one that makes the cut. Leith never disappoints for me, so highly suggest jumping on this one. It’s a versatile piece for work and play, that won’t let you down.
Ruched Sleeve Blazer – Totally swooning over this plaid blazer! It would go so great with a pair of jeans, to amplify the look with a chic vibe. It’s over $50 off in the sale, too.
Satin Midi Skirt – Guys I am SWOONING over this midi skirt! Like it’s a total must for me. Midi skirts have been a hit for a while now and I don’t see that trend going anywhere soon. You can style this with a chic tank or blouse now, a tee with boots, and even an oversized sweater in the fall.
Free People Tunic Sweater – Love, love, LOVE this sweater for fall/winter. It’s Free People so you know the quality is good and it’s over $50 off. I’ve heard a few gals say they saw this in person and loved it, so go for it if you need a new oversized sweater to pair with your leggings and jeans.
AG Jeans – It’s not an N Sale without AG Jeans, and these are back. They are a fan favorite ever sale and a great deal at $75 off.
Paige Black Jeans – If you need a new pair of black denim for fall, snag these. They are over $70 off, which is such a steal for designer denim.
Spanx Leggings – Buy these immediately without a second thought. They seriously NEVER go on sale (except the N Sale) and you will wear them on repeat all fall/winter. They make your legs and booty look amazing slender too. Snag them for sure.
Zella High Waisted Leggings – Speaking of leggings, my favorite casual leggings are on sale. They are great quality and will last you many seasons.
Sam Edelman Boot – Absolutely love these for fall. I think OTK boots are phasing out a little TBD, so if you’re looking for a go-with-everything fall boot, snag these. ($75 off)
Split Shaft Booties – I love the pointy heel and split shaft on these! It’s a great brand that never disappoints too.
BP Bootie – I’m honestly a little reluctant to post these because the BP bootie that everyone was pushing last year, was actually garbage in person. I’m sharing these because they are super cute, but buyer beware.
Sorel Wedge Bootie – I told myself that I was going to snag the Sorel wedges this year so I’m thrilled to see them on the N Sale. SO cute and sturdy for winter wear! ($70 off)
Franco Sarto Flat – I HATE that I could only snag the snakeskin photo because the ones I really wanted to show you are in a beautiful cognac color. Swooning over these and the price is phenom!
Steve Madden Bootie – These seem to be an amazing fall bootie from what I can tell. I think they already sold out by the time I got this collage up though, and frankly…I’m not redoing it lol
Leopard Cardigan – I am sure this is going to sell out in like two seconds flat and for good reason. Super into the leopard (obvi) but also love the subtle black and white vibes. This piece will go with everything.
Madewell Cardigan – I got this last year in the dreamiest fall color combo and really wished I had snagged the pink version too for Spring. So glad to see it’s in the sale, this year. Love this cardigan and think this is a great wear now/wear later color combo.
Teddy Bear Cardigan – Super into this cardi and need to add it to my closet. Give me all the cozy vibes always!
That’s it my friends! That’s all I’m sharing for the N Sale, this year. I’ll let ya’ll know public access starts, and if there is anything good left I might do another post. Hope you all enjoyed this post and me keeping it real with you, because that’s honestly the most important thing to me. Happy Shopping…or not…whatever. ๐
Thank you for your honesty, I get so sick of it all too. Sometimes itโs just like ok when is enough enough.
Such some great tips for shopping. All the items you have picked are wonderful.
Have a nice day.

Can’t go wrong with these classics, especially the boots. And yes, you’re absolutely right there. You just can’t buy at sale for the sake of buying.
